Geo4Africa Summit in Kampala, Uganda

The much awaited event, Geo4Africa Summit convened under the theme “Geo Tools innovating Knowledge databases”  opened today with Daniel Nangakha from ILICIT Africa giving the opening remarks for the summit.  In his speech he took the opportunity to elucidate the impacts of Geospatial technology across Africa and specifically in Uganda where his organization that promotes technology in enhancement of livelihoods works.

The event that brings together professionals from different sectors of the Geospatial industry to share, engage, network and learn from each other.  The event is held at Hotel Africa, Kampala, Uganda has attracted geospatial professionals from across the divide to a powerful engagement with todays Keynote address from Byron Anangwe from RCMRD and Justus Muhwezi from Uganda Bureau of Statistics.

It’s a great week seeing partners, GIS users, professionals, business people and managers gather for the Geo4Africa Summit in Kampala to share their GIS works with the world.More info at the Geo4Africa Section
